Welcome to the new Champion City website. Just like our companion site Metahuman Fiction, Champion City brings new super-powered fiction straight to your desktop. But unlike that site, Champion City is one setting with seventy years of stories, scores of characters, and but a single writer.

Before there even was a MetahumanPress.com, writer Nicholas Ahlhelm brought his story of the city of Federation to the dearly departed Wei Empire site. That novel, titled simply Champion City told the tale of a strange artifact known only as the Signet Stone, and the battle between the denizens of the metropolis to possess it. The story introduced all the key players of the saga, but focused on only six: Powerhouse, Jake Carr, Zenith, Smoke, Super Starr, and Freedom Patton.

Volume Zero takes place before the events of the original Champion City novel (a.k.a. Volume One) and chronicles the origins of the five of the six leads of that novel. (For more Freedom Patton, check out the aforementioned Metahuman Fiction.) In addition, we’ll introduce one of the biggest menaces the city of Federation has ever faced: Ozymandias, as well as the backgrounds of Backoff & Legend, Cyber, and the city itself.

Every Friday a new installment of the serialized novel will come your way, starting with the history of Champion City’s greatest hero—and perhaps its greatest villain—Powerhouse.

Update 6/15: Starting at the beginning of July, Champion City will join the Metahuman Fiction site, where it can be read alongside massive amounts of other great super-powered fiction. Be sure to check us out when our first edition goes live at the beginning of July!
