John Coleman (Century) grew up in upstate New York, about an hour north of New York City, where he still lives. He has been reading comic books, as well as all types of fiction and nonfiction, since the age of five. It has long been his dream to write for a living, with a job in the comics field being his dream job. The concept and characters of Century came about as a result of long hours with friends playing superhero role playing games. Mark “Ghost ” Anthony (Metacore) is a writer who enjoys creating stories and characters for various readers using different genres. A self publishing comic book writer for over ten years, he has created numerous characters and worlds for readers to experience. Drawn to action, sci-fi, adventure and comedy he blends them all together to produce unique stories that will appeal to readers on many levels. A character driven writer he looks to pull each reader into a world, time and place that only their imagination can take them.
Nick Ahlhelm (Champion City, Century, Freedom Patton, Timeline) also writes for Pulp Empire while still finding time to edit both fine publications. On top of that, he’s currently working on producing his first comic book series for the web. While not trying to be a complete over-achiever at this fine site, he lives with his wife of nearly seven years and daughter in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Nick C. Piers (The Farmer, The Altruist) has been writing all his life. No, really. He started writing little stories in crayon with Gizmo (that furry thing from Gremlins) as the main hero. In Junior High, he wrote write short, horror stories of B-movie calibre before moving on to his true love: superheroes. After years of working on ideas and filling out his self-contained universe of "SPECs" (Specially Powered and Extrordinary Characters), Nick has started to write the kind of stories that he loves to read, himself. Ultimately, Nick would love to get his work published, ideally as a series of novels and short novellas, but he has been more than honored to be a part of Metahuman Press. Currently, Nick lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and is owned by his cat, Diomedes. Nick is nearly certain that Diomedes wants to take over the world.
Paul McManus (Man of the People, Militia) lives in the United Kingdom where he enjoys reading and writing superhero fiction, when he’s not busy earning a living. The Militia is not his first piece of writing, he has been published by the now retired site Superhero Fiction and the still thriving Star Harbor Nights. At one time or another, Rick Considine (Comic Book Hero) has been a soldier, a cop, a private investigator, and even a bouncer in a strip club. Neither vocation lasted long. He currently makes his living in the Sacramento Valley repossessing cars. He is not a professional writer, but he grew up on pulp fiction and comic books, and never quite grew out of it. He has posted two novels online, Comic Book Hero is his first serial.
Robin Reed (Power vs Power) lives in Los Angeles. After many years of struggling, she has just started to make a living as a writer. Unfortunately, it's
boring web site advertising copy, not stories and screenplays. ItZ’s still better than her many other jobs in offices, factories, and as a
school bus driver. Robin has had stories published by Barnes and Noble, Dark Tales, Twilight Tales, and in other anthologies. Her self-published novel Xanthan Gumm is about an alien who comes to Earth
to become a movie star. It is available wherever books are sold, except book stores.
Thomas Fortenberry (Guardians) is an internationally published author, editor, publisher, and reviewer. He is a lifelong fan and creator of
superheroes. Over the years he has written superhero fiction and comic
books, co-founding Silverline Comics in the late 80s (later purchased
by Marvel), and working with various companies such as Aircel, Malibu
Comics, and currently Nifty.
T. Mike McCurley (Firedrake) lives in a small house in the back woods of Oklahoma, with his wife Trish, several cats, and a dog. His Tales of the Emergence stories first saw print on the late site Superhero Fiction. He has also found a devoted following for his online serial of post-apocalyptic survival, Skyfall.
